Complete apraxia therapy kit
Included: - blocks of various thickness and colors intended to evoke and preserve vowel articulation: a, u, e, i;
- appraisal tubes for exercises in the opening and pressure of the jaw and lips, and for consolidating vowel;
- apraxia blocks for exercises for two-lipped sounds: m, p, b.
All tools are part of the therapy of apraxia (dyspraxia) when transforming articulation movements after completion of ORAL POSITION THERAPY.
PATIENT GROUPS: Ideal for Patients with articulator movement planning deficits, especially those who do not benefit from visual and verbal cues and who require additional sensory support and kinesthetic memory work. The blocks - appropriate for a given opening of the mouth during the articulation of vowels - are placed on the lower molars. The patient remembers a given movement pattern. Together with verbal and visual cues, the blocks are part of a great multisensory approach to enabling the production of intelligible speech for patients with apraxia, also after accidents and injuries to the neck and head.
DVD INSTRUCTIONS by Renee Roy Hill, who was twice at the PJtherapeutic workshop, shows of course how to combine sounds produced in isolation with other vowels and consonants and how to work on their combinations.
The DVD manual is in English
